Fiberglass articulated pipe：

Fiberglass articulated pipe otherwise known as “Split Pipes”, form a limited flexibility protection cover over the submarine cable / flexible line, that is able to span small suspensions and is also able to conform in a reasonable fashion to the contours of the seabed, in shallow water, surf zones and over rocky seabed.

Articulated pipes offer excellent additional / alternative method of protection to the cable in areas where the submarine cable / flexible line cannot be buried due to hard seabed. In areas of strong current articulated can also be secured with saddle clamps / pins to the seabed at intervals considerate of the subsea conditions to secure the cable / line in position.
